A premier non-profit, multi-arts and cultural organization located in the southwestern United States is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to serve as the chief representative of and visionary for the organization. The successful candidate will be a seasoned leader of vision and integrity who is able to nurture the vibrant arts community in the organization’s resident city whilst surrounded by the growth of the region’s greater metropolitan area. The CEO must have an affinity for and preferably extensive experience in the civic arts agency field, as well as, the talent and ability to inspire consensus and work in partnership with all levels of stakeholders, including city government, media, business, and the general public. A key responsibility of the new Chief Executive Officer will be fundraising and development, as city funding has been effective in leveraging private funds. The ability to grow and lead a complex organization will ideally be informed by a passion for and knowledge of the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences.

The emergence of the network as a global enterprise reflects the formidable enhancement of Asian scientific development and medical research. Established under the sponsorship of the Duke University Medical School, the healthcare system thrives in the economically established metropolis of Singapore. Built on the three pillars of service, education, and research, our client is seeking a Scientific Director to head the Office of Research. The preferred candidate will possess a M.D. and a Ph.D., and be a proven leader in the formulation, implementation, and direction of research programs. As the position entails directive management, the candidate must also exhibit high levels of organization, interpersonal skill, and self-assurance. Appropriate candidates could come from the academic world, pharmaceutical/biotech industries, a hospital of renowned repute, or a governmental institute.

President, Translational Research Institute
University Medical Center


This leading University Medical Center has created an institute intended to improve health and address unmet needs with innovation and accelerate translation from discovery to human applications. Beyond that, the institute seeks to change the paradigm of discovery and innovations through invention and commercialization for the university. A key objective of the institute is to enhance the intellectual property created in the medical center by placing these various technologies in Phase I and Phase II studies and thus secure their value to the university.

The University Medical Center is seeking an individual who will lead the Translational Research Institute and will report directly to the Vice Chancellor of Clinical Research at the University Medical Center. The ideal individual will be a skilled and knowledgeable leader who can embrace the missions of the medical center and research institute to enhance the University's status as an innovative leader in technology developments and commercialization. It is required that this individual be able to relate to both scientists and executives in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Technology, Biotechnology and Venture Capital industries, with whom this individual will be expected to negotiate technology licenses, sponsored research agreements and/or the marketing of biomedical discoveries to the industry, as well as assessing and evaluating new science and technology. The preference is for candidates to have an MD or a Ph.D. in the Biological sciences or related disciplines, such as Chemistry, coupled with an MBA.

Director, Business Development
Clinical/Biomedical Research Institution


Our client operates one of the country's largest clinical and biomedical research enterprises, and works to translate advances in biological, biochemical, and medical knowledge into novel technological applications. Its educational programs, training hundreds of new scientists and physicians each year, are regularly recognized among the nation's very finest. They are seeking to hire a Director of Business Development to focus primarily on technology transfer as it relates to institution. The individual will be responsible for the evaluation of invention disclosures, patents and other intellectual protections as well as marketing and licensing technologies. Furthermore, the individual will be expected to build relationships with major corporations and venture capital firms of relevance to facilitate technology transfer. The candidate will possess a minimum of five years' experience working in a complex, scientific environment, ideally with a mix of corporate and academic experience. Sufficient familiarity with the life sciences industry is required in order to understand the clinical relevance of basic research and to comfortably communicate in an open and fluid fashion with the scientists at the institution. The preference is for candidates to have an M.D. or a Ph.D. in the biological sciences or related disciplines, such as chemistry. An M.B.A., although not required, constitutes an additional pleasing attribute.
